Subhash Ghimire and Sabi Gurung, dearest friends of myself and Hopeful World, are on the ground now, directing relief efforts to the remote regions where traditional and governmental aid cannot reach, specifically the villages in Gorkha, closer to the earthquake epicenter. I have been in contact with them almost nonstop via Viber since the quake, ready to do whatever they ask.
Sabi and Subhash have asked us to send donations as soon as we can so that they can purchase 300 tents and 500 blankets and other basic supplies that will be airlifted via helicopter to Ghorka immediately. Please help! Hopeful World will be directing funds for the next seven days to a small circle of trusted team members and friends who will secure the items and ensure their delivery. Supplies are dwindling quickly and new supplies coming in from outside Nepal will likely sit in customs while people suffer. We are in a unique position to be together and to offer what we have. Let’s do this!
